Dr. Betancourt’s research background includes a study of the periodontal pathogen P. gingivalis and its effects on human gingival tissues. The project was formally presented at the Annual Meeting of the American Association for Dental Research in Chicago in 2001.

Dr. Betancourt's Life Beyond Dentistry
Dr. Betancourt played collegiate baseball at the University of Central Florida. As a former Division I athlete, he maintains an active athletic regimen to this day. You may even run into him at one of our scenic local golf courses.
Dr. Betancourt greatly enjoys living in the south Charlotte community and spending time with his beloved wife Melissa and their precious daughters Amelia, Grey, and Charlie.
