Factors Affecting the Treatment Cost
No two smile makeovers are the same. As a result, the total cost of treatment will vary greatly among patients.
The Type and Number of Procedures
Smile makeovers can include of a variety of cosmetic dentistry treatments, such as teeth whitening, Invisalign®, porcelain veneers, dental bonding, and gum contouring. The type and number of procedures combined will affect the overall cost. Patients who choose teeth whitening and dental bonding will generally incur a lower treatment cost than those who choose to beautify their smiles with teeth whitening, porcelain veneers, and gum contouring.
Technology and Materials
Our office uses the latest dental technology to provide the highest quality care, including digital x-rays, CEREC, and laser technology. Before treatment, we can examine your teeth and gums using digital imaging. This allows us to provide more accurate diagnosis and treatment planning. If you require a dental crown to conceal a damaged or discolored tooth, we can use our in-house CEREC system to create a custom restoration in just one office visit. This eliminates the need for an outside dental lab and can help lower costs.

Patients who choose to transform their smiles with porcelain veneers rather than dental bonding will often incur a higher cost. Although composite resin is generally less expensive, ceramic provides more realistic and durable results.
Sedation Options
We can often perform cosmetic dentistry treatments without the need for sedation. However, if you suffer from dental anxiety or have sensitive teeth, we offer several forms of sedation, including nitrous oxide, oral medication, and intravenous (IV) therapy. Patients opting for sedation can expect the cost of their smile makeover to increase accordingly. The type and amount of sedation administered will also affect your cost, though it can make your overall experience more enjoyable. As part of only one and a half percent of dentists in the state of North Carolina licensed in IV sedation, Dr. Betancourt can deliver safe and effective treatment. As a result, you can feel confident in our services.
Affordable Financing
Cosmetic dentistry treatments are typically not covered by insurance. However, because your smile plays an important role in your overall self-confidence well-being, we strive to make these procedures more affordable. We accept financing through CareCredit and Citi Health Card to help offset the costs involved. These financing plans enable patients to make reasonable, monthly payments over time.
